Cast State Iron Ferritic Ductile Iron Automotive Security Smelting Process

Foundry NO.2 of DFL takes on the production of the ferritic nodular graphite iron, theferritic nodular graphite iron has a high demand in composition, organize, quility and soon.In the present condition,it is difficult to product the ferritic nodular graphite ironstably.A study has been made on the influence factors, effects, uniformity of SiC in thepretreatment of the ferritic nodular graphite iron through systematic trails in the lab andfoundry. A new type in-mold inoculation inoculant block has been developed and used inthe batch production. The results showed that the inoculation effect of SiC to the ferriticnodular graphite iron is evident.The results showed that the treating process is easy-handled and flexible, a stableinoculation effect was gained in the variational technics process. The inoculant block hasbeen used in foundry NO.2 of DFL,and castings of QT450-10 are gained as-cast, theeconomic profit was obvious.
