Solid substrate room temperature phosphorescence (SS-RTP) is a testing means that combining with micro-technology and trace analysis. The choice of the solid substrate is the key step, and filter paper is in common use. In this paper, the synthesis of two functional group modified substrates were studied, and the RTP properties of some organic pollutions on this two modified paperswere investigated. Combination of solid-phase extraction (SPE) and SS-RTP is developed for determination of some poly aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and nitrogen heterocycles (NHC) in environmental water samples. In addition, selective determination of trace cadmium in water samples by fluorescence spectrometry, and the synchronous determination of carbaryl and its degradation product residue in Chinese traditional medicine by thin layer chromatography with fluorescence detection were also studied. In chapter 1, A brief view was giver on SS-RTP, including developing history, rigidity mechanism, impact factors, such as heavy atom effect etc, and application. Moreover, the modification of substrate was introduced in details. In chapter 2, A method for selective determination of a-naphtheneacetic acid by heavy atom chelated filter paper substrate RTP was developed. Synthetical conditions of Pb-chelate filter paper were optimized. The RTP properties of α-NAA were studied in details. The choice of RTP parameter was simplized. The absolute limit of detection (LOD) was 0.25ng per spot, and the relative standard deviate (RSD) for 7 times determination was about 1.7%. This method was applied for the determination of a-naphtheneacetic acid in water and vegetable samples, with recovery above 93 %, and RSD<43 %.In chapter 3, A method for determination of trace 7,8-benzoquinoline in water samples by solid phase extraction room-temperature phosphorescence (SPE-RTP) with silane modified paper matrix was developed. Synthesical conditions of silane paper were optimized, and the RTP properties of 7,8-benzoquinoline were examined on this substrate. Application of silane filter paper in SPE and the impact factor of SPE were studied. Under the optimized condition, the enrichment efficiency of 7,8-benzoquinoline was more than 100 times. This method was used into determination of 7,8-benzoquinoline in environmental water samples, with recovery above 87.5%.In chapter 4, A method for determination of carbazole by SPE-RTP with silane filter paper was developed. The RTP conditions of carbazole and saturated volume and enrichment efficiency on the modified filter paper were examined. Through a SPE procedure, the limit of detection (LOD) of carbazole was improved two orders of magnitude, which was found to be 3.25×10-9 mol/L,and the RSD for 7 times determination was 2.9%. The proposed method was applied for the analysis of water samples, with recovery 83% 101%.In chapter 5, A method for selective determination of trace cadmium by the fluorescence characteristic of cadmium chelates was developed. The formation conditions of cadmium chelates were optimized, and the interference of some familiar cation and anion ions were examined. The proposed method was applied to analysis of tap water and environmental water samples, with recovery 117.1%121.8%, and RSD<4.04%.In chapter 6, The method by thin layer chromatography with fluorescence detection solid surface fluorescence analysis was used to detect carbaryl and its degradation product residue in Chinese traditional medicine. Carbaryl and a-napthol could be well separated with Rfvalueof 0.44 and 0.72 respectively, under optimized conditions. The absolute LOD of two compounds was 80.48ng and 3.46ng, respectively. The method was applied to analysis of the Digupi sample, wiht recovery 83.3% and 100% for carbaryl and a-napthol, respectively. It was appropriate for determination and quality control of Carbaryl and a-napthol.
