In this paper, using the finite element analysis software ANSYS, the mode analysis and the harmony response analysis of the spindle of YK2045A CNC spiral bevel gear grinder were carried out. The lower-order mode's shape, natural frequency and the response curve of the amplitude for frequency in the determined condition is obtained, and the effect of the span and the bearing stiffness and the damping coefficient on the spindle resisting vibration is analyzed. by using the ANSYS Parametric Design Language, the key dimensions of the spindle of the CNC spiral bevel gear grinder are parameterized. Modify the initialed parameters will create a new FEA model, so the efficiency of creating model and solving is greatly promoted. By using the command stream file, the rules which the effects of some key parameters on the dynamic performance have been found. The data indicates that the machining accuracy will be promoted when the span of spindle and the rigidity of bearing or damping coefficient are increased. A best set of parameters is given at the end to improve the performance of the CNC spiral bevel gear grinder. Using the transfer matrix, the dynamic model of the spindle of YK2045A CNC spiral bevel gear grinder was developed, and the dynamic analysis for the spindle was carried out. The natural frequency is obtained, which is compared with the natural frequency obtained by ANSYS, and the superiority of ANSYS is obtained by comparing.
