Electroanalysis is a key approach which refine lead and zinc, but short circuit or open circuit maybe occur during electroanalysis because electrode board is not smooth or the interval between them is not very symmetry. Short circuit not only can not produce output, but also much electricity energy waste in emitting heat. It badly lead to reduce of factory benefit.For the increase of produce yield, the trouble board must be found and picked from electrobath. Many method have been attempted in the world. The traditional method is that workers feel the board temperature using their hand and distinguish the all kinds of matter after electrode boards are put in an hour. This approach is too slow and often make many error judgments. So many large company try to examine it with automation equipment, the effect is still not very good since all this based on contacting measure.Through the detailed consider and many aspects demonstration, this paper put forward a method using infrared measure instrument of line scan. People only need download the prearrange program then it can automatically measure whole board temperature along with the progress of travelling crane. The infrared measure instrument of line scan can measure wide range of temperature and high precise, so workload is decreased and work efficiency is increased. The industrial computer process the temperature data coming from infrared measure instrument then select the relative high temperature. The temperature change can be obtained through the movement of travelling crane, and trouble electrode board can be exactly position through the Algorithm of digital imaging process. In fact application, combining artificially experience with appropriate sample, we can find all kinds of problem using fuzzy expert system for fault diagnosis. After the once measure, the whole data can be printed and fault can be clearly marked on computer display for worker doing some corresponding operate. This method is safe, credible and easy to put into practice. The method has very important realistic meaning because it not only alleviate the working intension but also greatly improve the produce benefit.
