Computerized flat knitter is a typical complex electromechanical machine which involves a lot of technology in control, electron area. In recent years, fast development of China's knitting industry calls for computerized flat knitter in great demand. With the development of micro-processor technology, embedded system has been widely used in industrial control field.Based on the analysis of construction and function of the system, the project proposes a design of an embedded control system based on ARM9 and FPGA for the flat knitter.ARM application system mainly controls the machine to make it work automatically. Specifically, S3C2410 processor based on ARM920T core is applied as CPU. LCD, USB, JTAG, UART are applied as the peripheral device. It processes the properties of friendly graphic interface, flexible mass-data memory interface as well as perfect support of network. Meanwhile, the top-bottem design simplifies the construction of the system and help reduce the cost greatly.This paper focuses on using ARM platform to design a control system for the flat knitter. Compared to traditional control systems based on MPU or IPC, this project processes the properties of proper design and high integrated control ability. It will have great practical value and broad prospect for application. |
