| Environmental problems have gained more and more attentions. It is desirable, for many textile purposes to provide viscose fibers and yarns having greatly decreased flammability. In the manufacture of rayon by the viscose method, it has been proposed to add various flame-retardant chemicals to the viscose prior to spinning. This approach presents many additional problems because of the particular chemistry of the viscose process. Accordingly, the flame retardant must be stable and inert with respect to the highly alkaline viscose and also with respect to the acid regeneration bath into which the viscose is extruded. It must not be extracted during spinning and processing. Furthermore, the added material must not interfere with the spinning process, for example, cause clogging of the spinnerets. In this paper, the performance of flame-retardant viscose fiber with sol-gel method is researched.Fire retardant viscose is a kind of fire resistant material. It's spinning process is similar to usual viscose except adding flame retardants to the viscose solution .The addition of flame retardants make the fiber's LOI increase to more than the point of 28%. The property of fire retardant is improved dramatically.If the fiber is ignited , it will burn or smolder for only a short time after the heat source is removed and will self-extinguish .The article is mainly about the physical, mechanical and other properties of the fire retardant viscose to get the spinning process .In this thesis, some basic problems of flame retardant viscose fiber have been studied. In this paper, the technology was simply introduced. The performance of this fiber was studied. In order to know the fiber's characteristics and chemical-physics performance, we could have completely understood by the system analysis. On the ground of all-around study, the fabric of the fiber was developed and its property was studied. And the performance of the fiber was evaluated by the way clustering. |
