Roadway support under deepness and high stress condition is a most complex international problem in rock mechanics. For a long time, people working in mining, tunneling and rock mechanics do lots of research on failure mechanism and supporting technique of deep high stress roadway .But because of the complexity of deep tunnel geological condition, it is difficult to solve the problem.Lots of deep roadway of Jinchuan Group Ltd. can not keep stability until several times supporting because of high stress and highly jointed rockmasses. The author do series of research based on 1178 sub-level of Jinchuan second mine. First, analyzing its failure characteristics according to spot investigation and relative information;Second, analyzing failure mechanism of deep high stress roadway and the problem of lying in supporting;And then, giving several sets of scheme combined with former supporting technique and experiences to simulate. According to compare , choosing the best one. In the end, evaluating the method based the monitoring data.According to the research , the author point out that the main problem of roadway supporting are insufficient support strength and ignorance of soleplate. The roadway can keep stability using high strength anchor bar combined cable anchor and floor bolt.
