It' s been a long-time that Spiral Bevel Gear' s and Hypoid Gear' s tooth surface can only be chosen in a few kind of models. The tooth surface is mostly depends on the form of the machine. Recently, with the development of numerical control machine, not only the performance of the Spiral Bevel Gear is improved but also make it possible to machining different kind of Spiral Bevel Gear tooth surface in the same machine. In the respect of machining Spiral Bevel Gear and Hypoid Gear using numerical control machine, the research is just beginning. Nowadays, the chief model being used is transferred the traditional model to numerical control machine, this not only make the tooth surface model more complex but also do no good to exploit the particular advantages of numerical control machine' s predominance. Therefore, the countries all over the world are studying the research on models of the tooth surface which can fit to the numerical control machine, and create the numerical control machine oriented Generating Simulation system is one of the most important respect.The function of gear transmission is through the mesh movement of gear. The processing precision of gear is very important gear drive performance, which can' t affect relative motion characteristics lubricant property drive efficiency and load-bearing capacity of gear, but also affect vibration, yawp and reliability. With the development of technology, the development trends of gear transmission is with big load-bearing capacity, low yawp, energy saving high effect, small volume and light , and can work under the condition of high speed and over loading . Therefore, to improve the processing quality of gear is the key to improve the quality of gear transmission. But as for complicated gears, such as Spiral Bevel Gear, Prolate Epicycloided Gear and Hypoid Gear, their processing qualities are mainly measured by Contact Area of the gear and Motion Stability in gear transmission.
