| A kind of aqueous metallic coatings for automotive finishing is prepared. Firstly, an aqueous PU resin was prepared for the coatings binder resin, during the preparation the influence of polycarbonate diols and other diols on synthesis resin is researched; the differences of resin and film properties were compared between adding TMP modification or not; the influence of different adding methods of water on resin particle sizes and molecular weights was researched when prepolymers emulsify and disperse; and then conclude an exploration and explaining. Secondly, the formulation for coatings was researched, mainly including the features of aqueous rheological agent CMCAB and effects of application. Finally, the application parameters for air spraying and static spraying were researched.After the up-said research, an aqueous PU dispersion, as a binder resin for aqueous metallic coatings, is prepared from TMP-modified PCDLs, aliphatic IPDI and EDA, and also an appropriate aqueous rheological agent CMCAB is incorporated with specially treated aqueous aluminum paste and other additives to form the metallic coatings for automotive finishing. The resulted metallic coatings are qualified to demands as described in contract, and showing good application properties. |
