BIVIS, which is the key production facility, has developed rapidly and been paid more attention because of its excellent performance. Intermeshing co-rotating screw and barrel are the two major parts that make up of BIVIS. The screw is of modular design and its active part consists of two identical screws that are common screw element and left-handed screw element with shallow grooves.Common screw element and left-handed screw element with shallow grooves had been designed in this paper base on the twin screw geometry. Common screw element and kneading block were also composed on account of the flow state of the pulp in the processing. Two combinations which were mentioned above were analyzed and then that two flow filed had be simulated. In order to know the performance of the combined screw configuration, 3-D flow field simulation of the combined screw channel were carried out by the FLUENT FVM package. Pressure profile, velocity profile and viscosity profile of the two combined filed were obtained. Post-processing program was developed to calculate throughout, shear rate and shear stress. And the post-processing results of the two combined channels were...
