In this thesis, five novel ferrocenyl nitrogen-phosphorus ligands were synthesized and the complexation properties of ferrocenyliminophosphine 3a with mercury(II) were studied. In addition, 3a has been successfully used in palladium-catalyzed Suzuki coupling of aryl bromides with phenylboronic acid and Heck coupling of aryl bromides with ethyl acrylate, respectively.1. Ferrocenyliminophosphines 3a,3b and 5 were synthesized by the condensation of formylferrocene, acetylferrocene and 1,1'-diformylferrocene with 2-(diphenylphosphino)aniline in re fluxing toluene in the presence of Al2O3. The corresponding ferrocenylaminophosphines 6 and 7 were easily obtained by reduction of ferrocenyliminophosphines 3a and 5 with LiAlH4. All the new compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and 31P NMR.Scheme 12. The reaction of ferrocenyliminophosphine 3a with Hg(OAc)2/LiCl afforded the binuclear mercury (II) complex 8a. ortho-Mercurated acylferrocenes 9 reacted with 2-(diphenylphosphino) aniline in refluxing toluene in the presence of activated Al2O3 produced afforded a mononuclear mercury (II) complex 10 (Scheme 2). The usually stable C-Hg bond was cleaved during the reaction. Considering the cleavage of the C-Hg bond was possibly due to the high reaction... |
