It is well-known that photocatalytic technique of nano-semiconductor is suitable to degrade organic pollutants in wastewater. However, there are many problems in large-scale application, which make photocatalytic technique in wastewater application stagnant. In this paper, the magnified titania photocatalyst's preparation and primary application were mainly studied in three parts. In first part, sonochemical synthesis was employed to prepared mesoporous TiO2 with alkylamine as a template and tetraalkylammonium as a dispersant. Well-dispersed and highly crystallized anatase nanoparticles could be prepared directly, and the sizes, morphologies and aggregation could be well controlled when the organism templates and additives are used in the synthesis process. It would give a new path for photocatalytic technique in wastewater treatment. In second part, nanosized TiO powders were prepared by hydrothermal method with titanium butoxide as precursor and structure-directed with different amounts and kinds of tetraalkylammonium hydroxide (TAAOH) in a mild condition within a short duration, which were characterized by TG/DTA, TEM, XRD, and DLS techniques. The results showed that the addition of TAAOH had a threefold role, that is, the crystallization, dispersedness, and nanosize of TiO could be controlled by changing the molar ratio of [H2O]/[Ti], [TAAOH]/[Ti] and hydrothermal temperature. In third part, alkali-hydrothermal and hydrothermal processes were employed in preparation of TiO nanotubes. Morphology, crystallization of nanotubes could be controlled by alkali-hydrothermal reaction duration, washing method, and calcination temperature. The growth mechanism of nanotubes in alkali-hydrothermal was also discussed. On the other hand, hydrothermal process was proved as a cheap and simple way for the preparation of TiO nanotubes. Hydrothermal conditions, such as acidity, temperature, and duration were studied for different samples obtained in experiment. The Result showed that it has great wide foreground for the preparation of TiO_...
