At present, during the crystallizing and vaporizing process in producing alumina, common evaporator and outer-heating forced circulation evaporator are widely used in china, which consume more energy and are both inefficient. But, as the main concentrating and vaporizing equipment, the forced circulation evaporator has direct effect on the balance of alumina liquid by its efficiency. So, it is key problem to reform bottle-neck during producing alumina, enlarge production capacity and decrease unit energy consumption.Based on the technical reconstruction project "study on the inverse circulation crystallizing and vaporizing technology" of Shandong alumina limited company (Ltd.), this paper mainly studies and solves the bottle-neck problem.Considering the defects of forced circulation evaporator, according to mechanism of inverse circulation, we have designed and reformed the key process and equipment. Vaporizing process flow is rebuilt and some corresponding parameters are established. Carrying out the pattern selection of steam corrosion resistance and changing the circulation, mode from normal circulation (tangential feeding) to inverse circulation (axial deeding), and reforming corresponding parts of evaporator, we get a new technique which is suitable for alumina evaporation in alumina producing process. At the same time, we design new evaporating equipments and parameters which make the equipments run steadily and save time and energy. It is considered that it is feasible using outer-heating forced circulation evaporator in alumina production industry by experiment and discussion. The optimal parameters are gotten and effects of different circulation on the fouling formation speed and its mechanism are also discussedThe application of outer-heating forced inverse circulation evaporator in alumina production industry will promoting sustainable development of alumina production industry and improving market competitive power.
