The preparation of nano-scale Al2O3/PVDF packed hollow fiber which could be used for wastewater treatment by dry-wet spinning process was introduced in this paper. The effect of dope composition, spinning condition and post-treatment on structure and property of packed hollow fiber membranes were investigated. The microstructure and property of packed membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM), the method of bubble pressure, pure water flux and porosity , respectively. The results show that the properties of packed membranes are improved greatly compared to the pure PVDF membrane. The pure water fluxes of Al2O3/PVDF membranes are 1.6 times higher than that of pure PVDF membranes to 243.7L/m2 · h. Moreover, the pore size and its distribution of packed membranes characterized by nitrogen isothermal absorption measurement are smaller and narrower than pure PVDF membranes. The maximal load of the pure PVDF and Al2O3/PVDF membranes are 1.3N and 2.2N. It was found that the ethanol-hexane exchange drying was an appropriated method to minimize morphology change of the hollow fiber and the properties were improved compared to the drying without any organic solvent exchange. The shrinkage and the pure water fluxes of the hollow fiber without solvent exchange were 6% and 201.2L/m2· h, respectively, while the shrinkage of the membranes exchanged by ethanol-hexane were decreased to 2.7% and the pure water fluxes were increased to 243.7 L/m2·h.It has high fluxes in wastewater treatment when Al2O3/PVDF hollow fiber membranes were involved. Moreover, it has a great performance in the efficiency and anti-fouling. The effect of NTU and COD were 80% and 75%.
