With the high energy plasma beam method, The welding quality of the TiNi shape memory alloy sheet and TiNiNb shape memory alloy wire is studied. The research is divided in the following parts:The high energy plasma beam equipment system is partly designed and built. The welding quality and mechanism of TiNi alloy are studied. The parameters' influence of the welding joint is analyzed, and the relationship between parameters and the proper range of parameters are confirmed. The welding process is optimized by Taguchi Robust Design. Based on the SN(signal noise) rate analysis of the main parameters, the optimization process of the TiNi shape memory alloy sheet is confirmed, and the range of the parameters is supplied to the engineering application.After heat treatment process, the performance and microcosmic organization of the welding joints are analyzed.The appropriate process criterion to the TiNi shape memory alloy sheet and TiNiNb shape memory alloy wire are ascertained.The characteristic and difference of the welding joint are discussed and compared in different heat treatment, such as phase, microstructure, microhardness, tensile strength and shape memory properties.The welding process of the TiNiNb shape memory alloy wire is studied. The properties are analyzed, such as the fracture, microstructure, tensile strength and memory property. The primary technique of TiNiNb shape memory alloy's Plasma beam welding technology is mastered.
