Recently, more and more sunscreen cosmetics are developed and put into commercial use due to the recognition of harm by excessive UV. Accordingly, developing an assessment method with high efficiency and accuracy is necessary and important. This article aimed at establishing an assessment system based on alkaline SCGE technology to test the sunscreen efficiency of cosmetics which is separated from legacy SPF and UV systems.First of all, we established the SCGE system triggered by UV to determine the proper parameter for this research such as illumination time, degradation time and electrophoresis condition, and also the parameter for comet analysis. Secondly, based on the above system, to assess the functionality of selected sunscreen cosmetics, we chose the proper illumination time and test volume, and compared those parameters with SPF value and price of selected cosmetics. According to this, we discovered that the damage level presented by that comet parameter decreased after using the sunscreen cosmetics. It shows the protection effect to animal cells under UV. With the same condition, the higher of the SPF, the stronger of the effect. However, this effect is not proportional to the price. Within the article, the sunscreen cosmetics has isolation effect to normal pollution material such as 9-nitroanthracene.The value of this research is that a complement method for legacy SPF/UV system can be established. The innovation of this research is as following: by taking alkaline SCGE technology as fundamental analysis method, UV environment/mammal cells simulation as condition, computer software analysis as assistant way, a multi-science assessment system can be established with those advance features, which is of highefficiency, accuracy, practical value and with relative low cost.
