Under summarizing the research achievements of crusher hammer material of home and abroad in recent years,this paper analyzes some problems existing in use forcrusher hammer material: Hardness or toughness of hammer material is lower,which can not meet the need of work condition of hammer in which hammer is either low wear property or resistant cracking behavior. Based on the questions,this paper studies the effect of alloy elements, prevent-split boards and heat-treatment technologies on hardness and toughness of high-chromium casting iron.In this paper,by using some kinds of detecting for capability,some practicable application achievements have been made.The hardness and wearable capability improve when alloy elements are added in.The wearable capability of PL1 surfacing sample improves 70% than Crl5high-chromium,and improves 13%than Cr25W3MoRe.In fact,the alloy elements added in increase the quenching capability and it also have well solid dissolution capability. The increasing of carbonization can improves the dispersion strengthening.After quenching(air-cooling) ,the hardness of surfaced hammers will be better in 500℃ × 3.5h tempering.Installing prevent-split boards in surfaced hammers can reduce the extending velocity of crack and increase the life of hammers.Using 10mm thickness prevent-split board is better.Surfacing the hammer body with the technologies which have been patented,the average service life of hammerheads in hintering one-roller crasher of Pangang has an impressive promotion.It achieves 9.6 months and improves 8.6 times than Cr25W3MoRe casting hammerheads.
