Xuzhou is one of the most important industrial basement including coal, electric power and building material base in East China. Soil environment was overloaded by the release of industrial, agricultural and municipal pollutants. Remarkably high concentrations of PAHs were found in some areas. Transference of PAHs in soil maybe leads to the groundwater pollution. The vertical transfer behaviors of PAHs from soil are influenced by a number of factors, in order to evaluate the influences of conditions change on the vertical transfer of PAHs in soil, leaching tests using paddy soil from Xuzhou under different pH level, content of organic matter, vegetation and surfactants was performed.Changed pH level of soil from Xuzhou with CaO and HAC, leaching tests using soil from Xuzhou were performed to study the effect of pH on the vertical transfer of PAHs in soil columns. Results show that the change of pH level of soil could change the behavior of the coexisting soil, and ultimately influences the vertical transfer behaviors of PAHs in soil, and the leaching ratio in alkali soil was higher than that in acid soil. For some PAHs, a higher pH level would strengthen capability of PAHs' leaching. For others, a lower pH level would promote PAHs leaching from soil surface to bottom more obviously.Confected solution of Dissolved Organic Matter (DOM) with Humic Acid and deionised water, leaching test was performed to study the influence of organic matter on PAHs' leaching characters. Results show that the DOM has a greater effect on the vertical transfer behavior of PAHs in soil, and different PAHs have different characters. DOM can enhance vertical transfer ability of Nap, Fle, Phe, Ant and Pyr, but bate leaching ratio of PAHs with 5 and 6 benzene circles.Selected garlic owing flourishing roots, leaching test was performed to study the influence of root uptake on the transfer behaviors of PAHs in soil. Results show that vegetation chould change the behavior of PAHs greatly, but the influence is based on promoting vertical transfer of low molecular weight PAHs, especially Nap with two benzene circles, and for high molecular weight PAHs, vegetation couldn't make obvirously change.Confected solution of surfactants with anionic surfactants (SDS), cationic surfactant (CTAB) and nonionic surfactanct (Brij30) and deionised water, leaching test was performed to study the influence of different kinds of surfactants on PAHs leaching ability. Results show that allkinds of surfactants could change behavior of PAHs in soil. With SDS solution, the leaching ratios of Nap, Acy and Ace was much higher than with other surfactants and deionised water. CTAB could promote high molecular weight PAHs leaching ratio.
