Gently inclined thick to medium-thick ore body in general is that the inclination is in 5°~30°, and the thickness of the ore body is in 5~35m around. There is a certain proportion of such ore in our country. For example, such iron ore is 18% of the total reserves, such nonferrous metals mining is 9% of the total reserves in nonferrous metals mining, and such phosphate rock is over 70% of total reserves. In addition, manganese, clay mineral, pyrite and iron ore is a considerable proportion, too.Gently inclined thick to medium thick ore body, due to occurrence and fucun constraints, the choice of mining methods are often more complex. For example: when the ore body has the smaller inclination, shallow ore can not help themselves out. It must use equipment to move the shallow ore in mining district. For there hasn't roof-care equipment, the operation is not security.The author studied the 13-2-3# ore body based on the Laochang tin ore. Considering the geologic characteristic, the author did some geologic reconnaissance and researched the classify of rock framework. Through investigating, analysing and researching to the supplied ore, marble, granite of these which affect the engineering rock mass charactertic, and the framework classify, evalued the stability of the rock mass. Through the classify of rock mass stability, the rock is II .The rock mass quality is good, and is stability structure. Through the physical mechanics parameters of the study , mining methods with some of the advantages and disadvantages, to provide gently inclined thick to medium thick ore body mining methods improving, in different parts of ore body, separately proposed to cut the top of a (non-) structure above bottom open-stope method and breasting method, and industrial pilot study. According to the charactertic of mining method and the mined order, the author designed 12 plans, and used 3-D finite element program to simulate the mining process of it. Simulate results indicate that the 6th plan is reasonable practicable, that is to say: total order of mining is from south to north, and the middle mining room is supper to two east room and one west. At present addition, we designed mining prop in 6# mining room. We compute the exposure area of 13-2-3# mining mass, the result is that: at non-prop addition, the exposure area is 1480m2; the other is 2050m2. According to the result, we advanced some measure about the management of geologic pressure mechanism in the process of mining.Industrial test results indicate that the mining order is reasonable practicable, not only inspace market conditions completed the test stope and achieved better economic exploitation of the main technical indicators, while successfully conducted 400t/d reached off target.
