The research status and development trend about the super absorbent polymer and the microencapsuling technology at home and abroad were summaried in this paper. The super absorbent polymer coming from the starch grafting acrylic acid has been prepared by the cornstarch and the acrylic acid as its raw material. And the density, absorbent performance, volume expansion rate of the polymer after absorbing were investigated in details. The microcapsule was made by the methods of melting-dispersion-condensation using this polymer as the core and the olefin as the wall. Based on this, in the paper was also studied the apparent pattern, size distribution, density and the hygroscopic property and so on. The results show that the microcapsule can suspend in the water, the wall material can melt as soon as dipping into the hot water and the core material can absorb water rapidly to plug the pipe. Additionally, the dispersing mechanics during the microencapsuling, the molding process and the action function of this microcapsule was studied deeply with the help of the basic theory such as thermodynamics, kinetic and macromolecular physics. |
