Tussah Silk And Weaving Preparation Process

There are two kinds of silk and they are the mulberry silk and the tussah silk in China. People have known well with the use of the mulberry silk. However, the knowledge and use on the tussah silk named Silk Queen is very limited now. The author of this thesis studied systematically on the technology process of the tussah silk production and weaving through investigating important production area of the tussah silk in Dandong of Liaoning and consulting a great quantity of correlative file and doing some experiments with the help of some teachers from Liaoning Silk Research Institute.Firstly, the author analyzed the surface and inside configuration, the physical property including size, elongation, moisture absorption, heat resistance, degradation property, insulation property, elastic performance and specific weight, etc., the chemistry property including resistance to acid, alkali and chemical, etc. of mulberry silk and tussah silk. And the author found out the difference of both kinds of silk which decided the difference on technology process of them on the base of above analysis.Secondly, the author studied technology process of the tussah silk spinning on the base of analyzing difference of physical and chemistry property of both kinds of silk and expatiated on the technology process from the aspects of cocoon mixing, cocoon selecting, cocoon cooking and chemicking, cocoon stripping, filature, grant reel, finishing, checking up and packing, etc. and found optimal technology process.Finally, the author found optimal technology process by expatiating on the processes of silk steaming, silk winding, string, silk twisting, warping, etc.The scientific conclusion was concluded by experimenting, comparing and analyzing to experiment data, consulting relative information and expert on tussah silk in this paper.
