The primary research on decomposition of flocculant PDA in the flocculated sludge was carried out in this paper.By measuring the turbidity and transparence value of the flocculated and originial sludge of different decomposition time,the decomposition situation of the flocculant PDA in the flocculanted sludge was researched. The results showed that in the 76 days, in winter, in room environment, the turbidity value of the suspension of the flocculated sludge increased from 9.42NTU to 64.5NTU and the transparence value decreased from 92.3% to 60.9%, the turbidity value was 6.85 times than the originial turbidity value and the transparence value was about 65.3% of the originial transparence value, in field environment the turbidity value of the suspension of the flocculated sludge increased from 18.1NTU to 67.1NTU and the transparence value decreased from 79.0% to 61.6%, the turbidity value was 4.36 times than the originial turbidity value and the transparence value was about 77.9% of the originial transparence value. After 76 days from the 76th day to the 132nd day, the range of turbidity and transparence value of the suspension of the flocculated sludge in both room environment and field environment was within 1.6% and 1.7% respectively.However, The results showed that in spring the turbidity value of the suspension of the flocculated sludge in room environment increased from 15.5NTU to 88.9NTU and the transparence value decreased from 89.5% to 37.6% in the 50 days, the turbidity value was about 5.73 times than than the originial turbidity value and the transparence value was about 42.0% of the originial value. The turbidity value of the suspension of the flocculated sludge in field environment increased from 15.5NTU to 85.6NTU and the transparence value decreased from 89.5% to 38.7% in the 40 days, the turbidity value was 5.45 times than the originial turbidity value and the transparence value was about 42.2% of the originial value.According to the simulating experiment results, it could be speculated that in winter conditions PDA in the flocculated sludge did not decompose completely in the experiment term and in spring conditions PDA in the flocculated sludge in room environment decomposed completely in 50 days and PDA in the flocculated sludge, in field environment decomposed completely in 40 days.
