In this paper, a combustible liquid vapor explosion characteristic test apparatus are designed, the explosion limits and parameters ,the least suppression concentration of 1# oil,2# oil and alcohol air mixtures were measured respectively by use of the apparatus and vertical detonation tube. Main conclusions are as follows:(1) The explosion limits of the 1# oil air mixtures are 1.53- 7.73% (vol.) and 21.3-35.4℃(temperature), the least concentration of the 1301 inert gas and the CO2 to suppress the explosion of the 1# oil air mixtures is 6.75% and 26.8% respectively.For the 2# oil air mixtures, the explosion limits are 0.82-7.17% (vol.) and 16.4-34.2℃(temperature),the least suppression concentration to them of the 1301 inert gas is 6.8%; For the alcohol air mixtures, The explosion limits are 3.38 -18.25% (vol.) and 10.94-40.6℃(temperature), the least suppression concentration of the 1301 inert gas is 5.56%; The results indicated that the explosion range of alcohol is widest, So the alcohol is most dangerous of these three fuels, and the suppression effect of the 1301 inert gas is better than the CO2, because its suppression concentration to the 2# oil is far less than the suppression concentration of CO2.(2) The detonation parameters of these three fuels were measured experimentally. the detonation velocity and pressure of the 1# oil air mixtures are 686 m/s and 542 kPa; For the 2# oil air mixtures, the detonation velocity and pressure are 661 m/s and 528 kPa respectively; For the alcohol air mixtures, the detonation velocity and pressure are 709 m/s and 480 kPa. The critical initiation energy is 2.11 MJ/m~2, and the length and width of detonation wave cellular is 16.2 mm and 14.5 mm, the ratio of the length and width of the cellular is 1.12.
