The increasing popularity of electronic products makes the increase of electromagnetic radiation in the environment and the danger of human health, so the development of anti-electromagnetic radiation fabric causes people's attention.Four kinds of the alginate fiber are prepared by using wet spinning; and test the surface morphology,the mechanical properties and the anti-electromagnetic radiation properties. Based on the research works, the main results obtained are as follows:The alginate fiber with good break-down strength can be prepared by wet spinning and the solution is distilled water. Different types of alginate fibers can be prepared by the changes of the coagulation bath; they have different structures and capabilities. From the SEM, the surface of Cuprum alginate fiber,Calcium alginate fiber and Barium alginate fiber is uneven and has the muscle shape structure appearance along the axial direction. But the Zinc alginate fiber has the smooth surface. Analyzed by EDX, in the same conditions of normalization, the extent of integration between ion Calcium and ion alginate is lower than others, because they have different structures. Analyzed by FT-IR, ionic interchange is happened between Na~+ and metallic ion during the spinning process and the "Egg-box" structure is formed. From the Monofilament Tester, the four kinds of fibers have excellent mechanical properties, especially on the cuprum alginate fiber and the Barium alginate fiber. In the capability of anti-electromagnetic radiation, the alginate fibers are more powerful than Cellulose fiber.
