The goal of corrosion monitoring is to reveal the corrosion process as well as to understand corrosion control application and control effect. The data obtained is the scientific basis to instruct the corrosion work. It is also an effective measure to appraise the corrosion effect. The coulostatic method is an important technology in corrosion monitoring. It uses the advanced electronic technology, takes the known quantity electric charge as the drive signal, records the weaken curve of the polarizing voltage along with the time in a short time. Then it can obtain the electrochemistry parameters after the analysis processing. The coulostatic technology is not only one electrochemistry research tool in the laboratory, it also has the application potential in corrosion monitoring on the spot. Intelligentization and automation have become the general developmental inclination in instruments and measuring appliances. The intelligent corrosion monitor based on computer technology will become an important development direction of the coulostatic technology. In this paper a set of intellectualized corrosion monitoring system has been designed using C8051F020 based on the coulostatic technology.Corrosion has brought great economic loss and social harm, developing intellectualized corrosion monitoring system has grand practice significance. In this paper, the coulostatic technology principle and the application in corrosion monitoring have been thoroughly analyzed. Then the single-chip system module and electrochemistry interface module of the corrosion monitoring system have been designed taking C8051F020 as the core and the correspondence of the single-chip and the PC is realized. The simulation experiment has been carried on based on four different equivalent circuit models using mathematical analysis's method under coulostatic drive condition. The simulation experiment result has confirmed the feasibility of the design.
