Stomatology teeth defect is a common and frequently-occurring disease. It is often repaired by a fixed prosthesis. By now, the fixed prosthesis oral conventional production methods mainly produce by hand at home. It has many shortcomings in this way. Therefore changing the tradition at production method is imperative by the way of using digital denture system.At present, more than ten kinds of products has been introduced, mainly in the United States, Germany, Japan and other developed countries. Our country studies in this respect are fairly late. And the reaching on digital restoration system is empty.In this background, we propose a development projects about five-axis denture repairing and carving system. The target of the paper is CNC programming and machining simulation study. The main topic is divided into there steps to complete:Step1: using POWERMILL software to program NC procedure about denture model based on STL.Step2: using UGNX/Post Builder module to establish a dedicated post-processor.Step3: using of five-axis denture carving machine to simulate the actual processing.Through the three steps of this research, a tool-path calculation way based on STL which is about polyhedron of denture model is proposed by POWERMILL software. The paper has completed the actual effect simulation which is about STL polyhedron denture model. And the denture model is successfully manufactured by three-axis NC machine tool. All of these work provided valuable ideas and experience for next stage of NC programming system and the development of post-processor of this project.
