The development of the terminal progressive die is one of the main trends in modem precise and high speed mold,and it will push forward the electromechanical industrialization.However,irrational blanking process will reduce the shearing quality and increase the wear-out-failure.Based on the burnish band length and blanking punch,this paper study on the relationship between the blanking parameters, sheafing quality and punch wear.First,by the reference of blanking mechanic,it explains the generating of light zone and defines the burnish length as the criterion of sheafing quality.Punch wear is considered as the main point of wear failure by analyzing the friction force in the blanking process.The processing parameters are also presented by characters of the terminals progressive die designing.Second,The Taguchi method is applied to scheme the shearing experiment with multi-combined process.The affecting to the cutting quality is obtained by the measurement of light-zone length.The optimized combinations are acquired for the punch wear test by variance analysis.Third,the elementary measuring is carried on the punches during the combination stated above.The wear condition in the punch flank and top are identified by comparing the loss of Co.The impaction of clearance,cutting edge radius and cutting speed on the punch wear are also obtained for the optimization of shearing parameters.Last but not the least,combined with least square technology and grey theory, the specific detecting method and estimated model are established to acquired the punch wear quantity.The accuracy is verified by comparing the predicted and actual value.The optimization of multi-combined parameters is also be verified to obtain the best shearing quality and die life.
