As a special metal,Potassium(K) and its compounds have been used widely in industry.As raw material of K2O2 and K-Na alloy,the potassium requirement is tremendous.Researching and designing a safe potassium forming production line is very important for the potassium producer to improve the production efficiency,the quality of the product and the safety of the operation.The physical and chemical character and production status of potassium is analyzed in this paper.The temperature changing in the solidification process of potassium is simulated with the software of ANSYS.The time required for solidification is obtained in the simulation.On the basis of the simulation,the general scheme of the system is designed.According to the production requirements,the line composition is designed firstly.Then the potassium forming production line is designed with the production line design theory.The delivery method is chosen,the production process is designed,the production line beat is analyzed and the production line layout is proposed.According to the layout of the production line and requirements of potassium forming,the main facilities in the forming production line are designed in detail,including the mold,the injection of potassium and the facility which can move and add the cover of the mold.The basic operation and control tasks of the main facilities in the potassium forming production line are analyzed in detail.With the process plan and action sequence,the PLC controller is chosen.The control system program is designed and the control software is programmedWith the potassium forming production line designed in this paper,automatization of metal forming process is achieved.The safety and the production efficiency in the potassium production are improved.This can be used for reference in technological improvement.
