At present, aerobic treatment is widely used in urban domestic sewage treatment. Eighty percent of wastewater treatment plants in our country adopt activated sludge process. But the project investment and the expenditure of aerobic treatment is very high, which is not suitable for the situation of fund shortage, lack of energy and the pollution getting worse daily in our country. This paper studied up-flow anaerobic sludge blanket for the use of urban domestic sewage treatment which has the characters of simply management, low energy consumption and low operating cost, the scale of the treatment system can be big or small and the system can be layed separated, also residual sludge is small, stability and easily be dewatered. This technology is worth popularizing in our sewage treatment field.We have done some experiments on varing factors to UASB such as temperature,pH and volume load, and we got the most suitable conditions. The results indicate when hydraulic retention time (HRT) is 5h, the concentration of CODcr at exportation is less than 120mg/L ,which is measured with second class GB8978-1996,and SS is less than 30mg/L,arriving at second class. The result also indicate that the UASB can secondly start-up quickly, work steadily and have good removal effect on organic matter. Meaningwhile, UASB has an excellent ability of bearing high impact load.The thesis focuses on the experiment of treatment of municipal wastewater byUASB reactor. Its organic degradation dynamic model can be described asv=(?);And its microorganism growth dynamic model can be described as(?) = 0.4303v - 0.0073; Besides that, it could ensure the kinetic coefficients: Ks,vmax,Y,Kd.Through the experiment, essential operation parameters and control conditions are given to direct the engineering application of UASB technology when used in wastewater treatment under moderate temperature conditions for urban domestic sewage.
