Baotou City In The Ambient Air Quality Assessment And Its Countermeasures

Environmental quality evaluation is a scientific method to understand and study the environmental quality, the assessment of ambient air quality is an important branch of environmental quality assessment. This paper finishes the principles and methods of urban environment and air quality evaluation, it uses API (Air Pollution Index) method and fuzzy math comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the ambient air quality trends of Baotou between 2000 and 2007, it makes a comparative study between the evaluation results of two kinds of evaluation method, summed up the advantages and disadvantages of different methods of evaluation.It uses air pollution index (API) in the daily report of ambient quality in Baotou, there is a clear evaluation of the results, but when it gets the maximum value, it omits the other pollutants. Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation considers the ambiguity of ambient air quality assessment, according to the degree-level study of concentration of pollutants at all levels, the results of visual comparison is clear, it can detail and accurate evaluation of the level of environmental quality, the results of evaluation may reflect the ambient air pollution .In recent years, it increases the devotion of environmental protection and strengthens environmental management in Baotou, strictly controls the full use of high sulfur coal, washes out of coal-fired boiler, reduces motor vehicle exhaust pollution and optimizes the energy structure, air quality has been improved. But with the rapid socio-economic developed, emissions of air pollutants are in the trend of a potential increase, it poses a huge pressure on city's ambient air quality. This paper combines socio-economic development plan of Baotou, researches the current and future period impact of Baotou ambient air quality. The main factor of air pollution prevention is the gradually increasing trend of widespread effects of particulate pollution, sulfur dioxide Emissions and nitrogen oxides.In this paper, it is guided by the development of circular economy and construction of eco-city advanced concept, consults native and foreign advanced experience. Then it improves ambient air quality recommendations for Baotou City, including adjusting the industrial structure, promoting clean production and improving energy structure, developing circular economy, implementing sewage trade, strengthening construction of city virescence and other measures as well as the necessary safeguard measures to promote Baotou in maintaining rapid economic growth while continuing to improve ambient air quality.
