Three silicone cationic surfactants,the TAS101,QAS550 and TAS550 were synthesized respectively by silane TAS100 and MM.The flotation behaviors of diaspore and the main gangue mineral-kaolinite, pyrophyllite and illite with a series of organosilicon collectors were studied.The pure mineral flotation experiments show that the all of the three silicone cationic collectors TAS101,TAS550 and QAS550 exhibit strong flotation capability on diaspore,illite,pyrophyllite and kaolinite over the pH range of 4-10.The collecting capability of the three collectors is in the order of TAS101≈QAS550>TAS550.Using TAS101and QAS550 as collectors,with the concentration of 6×10-4 mol·L-1,the flotation recoveries of the four aluminosilicate minerals are all up to 85%.In order to find suitable conditions of Bauxite Desilication Reverse Flotation System,the flotation of the single mineral with the existence of depressor was investigated.The results show that the soluble starch is an effective depressor agent for diaspore.The depression of soluble starch is much more prominent for diaspore with TAS101 as collectors than that of QAS550 and TAS550 as collectors.The separation of mixed mineral of diaspore and kaolinite by reverse flotation was studied preliminarily in this dissertation.The results show that the artificial mixed mineral of diaspore and kaolinite can be separated well when A/S of feeding mineral is 4.79(diaspore:kaolinite=2.5:1) and the concertrate of A/S=9.28 can be obtained when 6×10-4 mol·L-1 of TAS101 is employed as reverse flotation collector and 300mg·L-1 of soluble starch being depressor,while the pH value of the system maintained at 10.In a word,with suitable amount of TAS101 and soluble starch as collector and depressor respectively,diaspore could be effectively separated from kaolinite,illite and pyrophyllite through reverse flotation.Using TAS101 as cationic collector,soluble starch as depressor,2# oil as foaming agent,Na2CO3 as pH modifier,respectively,the reverse flotation of Henan bauxite was investigated.The results show that the concentrate A/S 10.39 was obtained which achieve the target of reverse flotation(A/S>8),when 430g/t of TAS101 is employed as reverse flotation collector,2000g/t of soluble starch being depressor,200g/t of 2# oil being foaming agent and 2.0g of Na2CO3 being modifier.The adsorption mechanism of the new collectors on the four minersls has been investigated through Zeta- potential and IR spectrum measurements.The PZC(Point of Zero Charge) of diaspore,kaolinite, illite and pyrophyllite are pH 6.0,3.5,3.0 and 2.3 respectively.Zeta-potential and IR spectrum measurements confirm that the interaction between TAS101 and aluminum silicate minerals may be the electrostatic adsorption and hydrogen bond.
