A New Continuous Casting Machine Cast Steel Pull Straightening Roller Thermal Structure Stress Analysis

In the Continuous Casting Production, the pulling-straightening roller is an important equipment. It's main function is clamping steel billet, kicking out steel billet from mould, and straighten steel billet while passing through the pulling-straightening machine. Center of pulling-straightening roller pumped in circulating water for cooling, External Surface intimate contact the hot steel billet. Present service life of pulling-straightening roller is only 3~4 months. For extend its service life,the following research was engaged in:(1)According to the actual working condition of pulling-straightening roller of the conticaster, carried on the failure analysis, researched the wear mechanism, the wear-out failure influencing factor and the corrective measure on the straightening roller, and proposed a material design proposal of a new-style pulling-straightening roller.(2)According to the knowledge of Heat Transfer and Thermo-elasticity mechanics, the mathematical models of thermal field were established.ANSYS thermal analysis indicated the distributed rule of thermal field. Through switching analytic element and Loading External stress, it realized thermal stress and mechanical load coupled simulation, and gained the rule of roller's stress field. Study the influence of Thermal Stresses in straightening roller by Material Capabilities, provide reference for the further optimization .(3) Pilot Product new pulling-straightening roller.(4)Materail hardness and toughness Testing of new-style pulling-straightening roller is given, comprehensively analyses inner link between the material microscopic organization and the macroscopic performance.The trials in LengShuiJiang iron and steel groop company suggested that the new-style pulling-straightening rollers have good oxidation resistance , good adhesive Wear Resistance,good thermal fatigue resistance,high hardness,good Creep Resistance at high temperature, Besides those, the additive has excellent oxidation stability and antiwear properties. This new-style pulling-straightening roller will have a well economic and societal effect, and also have a promising application.
