In order to solve various problems exist in the design and application of roller press, make the structure design more reasonable, give full play to its'advantages of energy saving, the work mechanism of roller press was researched, calculation method of related technical parameters were determined, the influence of max pressure, roll-gap and roll-dia on material pulverizing effect, 3d model of roller press was created and finite element analusis was made, some useful conclusions for design theory of roller press were gained.The work principle of roller press was analyzed on the basis of material beds comminuting theory, the calculation method of width-radius ratio, roller-gap, velocity, feed-angle, nip-angle and production capacity were confirmed, making determination method of related parameters more reasonable.Torque equation, power equation and energy equation were derived according to the stress of roll. The example datas were calculated using the BS smashing model by Matlab software. The influence of max-pressure on material comminution granularity was researched deeply, the effection of roll-gap and roll-dia on material comminution granularity were researched by indirect analysis method, and thus developing this theory.The structure of roller press was designed through solid modeling and virtual assemble on the basis of the feature modeling by Pro/E, meanwhile, the motion of the transmission was simulated in the Mechanism module of Pro/E, the static interference checking among parts of the assembled grinding rollers was made, the CAD design platform was widened.Finite element analysis technology was introduced into the design work of roller by ANSYS, roller's strength and stiffness were analyzed, displacement and stess nephogram were gained, the strength of roller was checked, design gist was provided for designer.By introducing digital design into the roller design, the design scheme was perfected, the period of product design was shortened, the cost was reduced, and the comperitiveness of firms in market economy was improved.
