Spiral Bevel Gear Equipped With Automatic Lapping Control System

Spiral-bevel and hypoid gears with driving smoothly and high strength are widely used in driving between crossed axes, such as vehicles, machine tools, helicopter and mining machinery. With the developments of gears orienting toward higher precise, speed and strength, lower noise and miniature, it is required that the higher material and manufacturing technology. The lapping is an important precise and finish machining approach in the spiral-bevel and hypoid gears manufacturing process. At present, the Lapper automatic machine is most from foreign country, so it is necessary that manufacturing spiral bevel gear Lapper with autonomous intellectual property rights.On the basis of lapping mechanism, this paper research lapping optimization principle, backlash control principle, vibration control principle, these studies are theory basis for system realization. According to mechanic structure of lapper, the lapping control system adopt SIEMENS 840D for hardware control structure and achieve the design of SINUMERIK 840D,SIMODRIVE 611D and SIMATIC S7-300 respectively.The software of lapping control system make up of the module of Data Administer,Human-Machine-Interface,Communication and NC code. This paper put forward the method of design the principle of realize,and design the whole of the software.This Lapping control system comprise the function of lapping position control, lapping parameter flexibility setting, backlash control automatic, gear runout detect automatic and so on.Make a experiment using spiral bevel gear lapper which is loading this control software, compare the gear transmission result and noise which gear is the owner before lapping and after lapping,it is prove that control software is useful and advisable.
