With the growing scarcity of oil resources and enhanced awareness of environmental protection, people begin to seek for one kind of renewable new energy to reduce environmental disruption and replace petroleum fuel. People pay much more attention to bio-diesel due to its some merits such as its renewability and harmonization with environment. Acidified oil as raw material to produce biodiesel not only can solve the problem of relatively high prices of raw materials, but also can solve the vegetable oil refining plant pollution caused by improper disposal of oil foot problems, which shows a good economic and social efficiency. Therefore, using acidified synthetic oil to synthesize bio-diesel has important research significance. The experiment adopted the process including a preesterification with FeCl3 as catalyst and a sequently transesterification catalyzed by KOH to produce bio-diesel with microwave assited reactor. Compared to the traditional esterification process, this experiment could significantly reduce the alcohol to oil ratio, greatly shorten the esterification reaction time. The alkali catalytic transesterification can increase the rate of triglyceride conversion. Compared to conventional methods the yield of biodiesel increase from 82.1% to 91.5%.Establish the bio-diesel production process simulation model strictly. The result obtained from the simulator's powerful material and energy balance calculation has a good consistency with the practical production data. Finally, the entire flow sheet was optimized based on performance parameters adjustment and sensitivity analysis. The method can be used to direct the performance changing in the practical manufacturing.
