In recent years, rail transit development has achieved rapid in China, along with great speed railway completion of the six high-speed railway operating mileage of China and the world, China has entered the high-speed train era. Damper is installed on the bogie, to attenuate the vibration energy of the device, with the train speed higher, the horizontal and vertical vibration between wheel and rail becomes more and more intense, the traditional shock absorber cannot meet needs of locomotive, it is increasingly important to research on new and high-performance shock absorbers.Since the lateral horizontal swing damper have a good inhibitory effect on the vehicle and roll vibration, and get significant improvements for passengers in comfort, this study is on the purpose of dynamic performance for lateral body, on the basis of the previous design a power Proportional valve semi-active damper. And draw a semi-active damper with three-dimensional software Pro / E, two-dimensional CAD construction drawings. Then in the ADAMS / VIEW, and ADAMS / Hydraulics software built semi-active hydraulic damper combined simulation models were derived semi-active damper under different conditions of displacement and velocity characteristics of the indicator diagram. Studies have shown that electro-hydraulic proportional valve orifice size, oil viscosity, oil temperature and the frequency of motivate force have greater impact on the work performance of the damper.Second, in MATLAB / SIMULINK software to create a semi-active damper control strategy, in ADAMS / RAIL software built with 54 degrees of freedom of the single car model, and add a five-way U.S., had mechanical and electrical co-simulation on the locomotive. Obtained with the lateral acceleration time domain, frequency domain, and comfort simulation diagram with the semi-active vibration damper of locomotive. Finally, the locomotive with semi-active damper lateral dynamic performance of the locomotives is equipped with conventional passive damper comparison, the structure shows the locomotive with semi-active damper has been significantly improved comfort. It also shows that semi-active damper of this study will help to improve the dynamic performance of vehicles, which will help improve the comfort of locomotives.
