In this paper, it is taken an idea from PCU (Power Control Unit). The control and protect unit have been designed and implemented. The control and protect unit is used for the l5kva inverter. The control and protect unit is the key of the converter. This thesis applies the fault tolerant system theory and presents a high reliable fault tolerant control and protect unit with the core of PC/104. The paper also discusses the conversion circuit of dual computers system. Synchronization is the key of redundancy fault tolerant computer. So it also analyses the possibility of synchronization when the TTP is used. The BIT (Build In test) technology is an effective method for improving product's test ability and diagnosis ability. The paper introduces PC/104 embedded computer. For used the pc/104, the ability of BIT has been improved. In the last, the paper calculates the MBTF of the control and protect unit. The result is satisfied. The scheme proves correct and feasible.
