Modern radar system is complex increasingly. It is necessary to need the echo of radar, during designing and debugging of radar system. To shorten the period of designing radar, people began research radar target signal simulator technology, which could replace actual radar signal with stimulant signal. So this technology can reduce the outlay of designing and maintenance of radar. Nowadays, radar signal simulator is developing step by step, it is an important branch of radar technology. So the research on radar signal simulator becomes one of the amphasis in martial area.Any radio system must include the radio-front. The radio-front's function is, modulating, mixing, amplifying of base signal. This project based on the research of airborne phased-array radar target simulator's radio-front. The radio-front system includes tow parts: transmitter and radio frequency power's distribution and combination net. The transmitter channels include three clutter signal channel and one target signal channel. In the transmitter channel, base I/Q signal is modulated firstly, then it is mixed with local oscillators twice into X band. The function of second part is dividing target signal channel to four channels by power dividers, modulating four channels by attenuators. One channel signal of four is sent to antenna, the others are combinated with three flutter signals. In this project, writer's work is demonstrating radio-front system's blue print, calibrating amplitude and phase inbalances in different channels, designing and implement of X band 0/πphase shifter, testing the system's function and parameter, and so on.In this paper, the blue print of airborne phased-array radar target simulator is introduced at first. Then the blue print of radio-front system is demonstrated. Whereafter, the methods is described detailedly, which is calibration amplitude and phase inbalances, and designing X band 0/πphase shifter. Finally, the test result of radio-front system is present in the paper.
