Along with the development of science and industrial production, the flow rate measurement receives more and more attention. The proportion of flow meter becomes bigger and bigger in the entire meter industry. In order to guarantee the flow rate measurement accurate, the flow meters must be examined regularly to determine whether its error answer the purpose. The traditional examination way is use static volumetric system. The examination process depends on manual operation. The operator carries on the reading through naked eye and calculates error by manual. Thus, the efficiency and the precision are all low.After carried on detailed analysis on the basic principle of liquid flow rate standard system and referred to the domestic and foreign related literature, we designed the liquid flow rate standard system which based on industrial control computer in this article. The system combined the static volumetric examination and the standard flow meter examination. The efficiency and the precision are all enhanced. Moreover, the system take the industrial control computer and the transducer as a core, use the ZuTaiWang developing platform based on the windows environment on software, and realized the true significance automatic control by YanHua ADAM multi-purpose data acquisition and the input/output module.First, the article introduced the main several kinds of methods and the principle of flow meter examination now. Then, after referred to the project technical specification and the national regulations the author determined the structure and the work way of the liquid flow rate standard system designed in this article. After that, the author minutely designed the system from the hardware and the software two aspects and also estimated the uncertainty of the system.The experiment indicated that, the liquid flow rate standard system designed in this article can satisfy the design request very well. By using the microcomputer to carry on the entire examination process the labor intensity of operators has been reduced, the labor efficiency has been enhanced and the examination expense has been greatly saved.
