This thesis summarizes the advancements made in TCM and Western medicine on acne research.The curative effect of Quyu decoction was verified;a formula that was screened out by my tutor,professor Yang Suqing,based on her long experience in treating nodular and cystic Acne .Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Quyu decoction in treatment on Nodular and Cystic Acne.Methods:The samples were collected from 74 cases of Nodular and Cystic Acne .38 cases were treated with Quyu decoction as the treatment group,and 36 cases were treated with tanshinone as a comparision group.We observed the changes in skin lesions over a period of one month,or one course of treatment to evaluate the curative effect of Quyu decoction.Results:The total effective ratio respectively was 92.1%,72.2% in two groups in integrated efficacy.There was significant difference shown between the treatment group and the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Quyu decoction could significantly eliminate the symnptoms of patients. Quyu decoction is a satisfactory choice to treat nodular and cystic Acne.
