Moment in Peking, an English novel by Lin Yutang, has been well known and popular with Western readers for its showcasing of Chinese culture. Lin translated a good number of Chinese culture-loaded expressions in China English, which is partly attributed to the great success of this novel. On the one hand, it enriches the English vocabulary. On the other hand, it introduces China to the rest of the world.(2) the acceptability and significance of China English, by which to spread Chinese culture.(3) China English being the outcome of a combination of Chinese culture and the English language, which not only reflects the internationalization of English but also facilitates the intelligibility and recognition of Chinese culture and values, and whose existence meets the needs of the times.
