Objective:During the weight control and loss period,we studied how an acute bout of extra-training exercise at different intensity levels influences the wrestlers' body composition,body fluid composition and some adipose metabolism related hormones,such as leptin,adiponectin, insulin and so forth.Also we kept on researching the chronic effects of similar indictators through the whole weight control period.Based on the comparison of biochemical indicators under different intensities, the study was to compare the body functions and weight control effects in dissimilar groups which carried out different exercise intensities, thereby reveal the appropriate training intensity in each stage of weight control and loss period and indicate the necessary nutrition supplement at the same time.Subjects and methods:22 young women wrestlers,who were randomly divided into three groups named low intensity group(LG),moderate intensity group(MG) and intermittent high intensity(HG),respectively completed a single bout cycling exercise session at three different intensities(about 30%,60%and 80%VO2max).A bout of aerobic cycling endurance exercise lasted around 50 minutes,and subjects participated inthe supervised exercise program three times a week.Indices were tested pre- and post an acute exercise inplementing aforementioned intensities, as well as before and after the body weight control and loss period.The results:(1) After the intervention of excercise,K+ loss in sweat of high-intensity group was significantly higher than that in the low-intensity group.(2) After the intervention of excercise,plasma Ca2 + concentration decreased significantly in each group with no significant difference of them;serum iron concentration increases,the high-intensity group increased larger than the other two groups.(3) After the intervention of excercise,serum leptin of moderate-intensity group decreased significantly than the other two groups.The average adiponectin concentration of every group did not change significantly. (4)Exercise combined with a six-week training,the body fat of high-intensity group did:not change significantly,the body fluid decreased in a greater trend than that in low-intensity group.In low-intensity group significantly decreased the percentage of body fat, moderate-intensity group difference was very significant;low-intensity group difference was significant;and intermittent high-intensity exercise group did not significantly have a lower percentage of body fat, lean body weight was significantly decreased compared to before.(5) Exercise combined with a six-week training,the average weight of moderate-intensity group decreased significantly accompanied by leptin concentration decrease,leptin concentration in the other groups did not change significantly.Adiponectin,insulin of each group did not change significantly.Conclusion of the study:(1) Intermittent high-intensity exercise cause the biggest rate of losing weight,mainly to loss the body fluid;and medium-intensity exercise,which significantly decreased body fat percentage,had the most efficienct fat mobilization and utilization. (2)Leptin concentration and body fat percentage are credible predictors of each other in some extent.
