| Blood pressure (BP) is one of the most important physiological parameters. From the blood pressure we can know about the ability of the heart to pump the blood, the pulse rate, the blood vessel's resistance, the main artery and big artery's elasticity, the blood capacity of the whole body, the blood's physical state, and etc. So the measurement of the blood pressure is very important to clinic diagnose. However, how to get the exact and credible blood pressure parameter by a non-invasive and economical method is still the problem in the biomedical engineering field.This dissertation improved the BP meter from hardware and software aspects, which includes:1. In the hardware design, the Bp signal is acquired by the high resolution ADC system based on C8051F005. The system also uses C8051F005 as the kernel MCU of the BP meter. Because of the strong analog and digital function of this MCU, the system is very powerful, simple and high reliability.2. In the safety protection design, the deflation circuit is set to protect the human body from injuriousness.3. The software algorithms for the analysis of pulse wave signal are based on the digital filtering algorithm, the pulse detection algorithm and the blood pressure measurement fitting algorithm.4. In the progress of the clinical evaluation, we used the mercury sphygmomanometer in comparison with our equipment to measure blood pressure according to the US standard sp10. The conclusion of the evaluation is that the new blood pressure measurement can meet the clinical need. |
