Dendrobium nobile Lindl. has been used as one of the materials of Shihu, a valuable traditional Chinese medicine for a long time. It is an epiphytic herb in Dendrobium Orchidaceae. The main effects of Shihu in traditional Chinese medicine theory are nourishing yin and clearing heat, tonifying stomach and promoting fluid. Now the research is is focused on rapid propagation and chemical. But the research on product is not so much. The content of dendrobine varies in different harvest time, with 2.39%o at the lowest point in September and 5.59‰at the highest point in January. The dendrobine content of the annuals is 5.46‰, which is the largest among that of different harvest years.
