Lumbar Disc Herniation (LDH) also known as Lumbar Interveterbral Disc Prolapsed is a spinal disease which causes severe pain. The degeneration of lumbar intervertebral disc or the external force cause the imbalance of the intervertebral disc which in turn leads to the rupture of the annulus fibrosus, resulting in the protrusion of the lumbar intervertebral disc nucleus pulposus. This protrusion causes the compression or stimulation of the nerves, blood vessels and Cauda equine etc, further leads to the inflammation in the surrounding tissue, edema, microcirculation and adhesion of fibrous tissue hyperplasia and in turn causes low back pain, numbness, or even neurological barriers. Seriously interferes with the work and the normal life of patient.ObjectiveThrough clinical observation, using three methods of treatment in treating lumbar disc herniation to observe the effectiveness:Deep puncture Hua Tuo Jiaji acupoint treatment, external application therapy, lastly with deep puncture Hua Tuo Jiaji acupoint with external application therapy.Clinical Research MethodThrough research study of lumbar disc herniation in the pathogenesis of Western medicine and acupuncture treatment of lumbar disc disease progress; a total of 91 patients met the inclusion criteria are selected and entered to study and statistical analysis, all patients were randomly divided into deep puncture Hua Tuo Jiaji, external application therapy and deep punctuce Hua Tuo Jiaji acupoint with external application therapy group. After 10 treatment sessions, compare Oswestry disability questionnaire in state of after-curing and before-curing, VAS score and the visual form of the evaluation of clinical efficacy. ResultFrom clinical studies, the statistical analysis shows that deep puncture Hua Tuo Jiaji acupoint with external application therapy group compared with external application therapy group, and deep puncture Hua Tuo Jiaji acupoint group are compared with external application therapy group, the result of a value P<0.05, showing both group have significant difference. Deep puncture Hua Tuo acupoint with external application therapy group and deep puncture Hua Tuo acupoint, two groups explains that they have no difference in symptoms and VAS score with value of P>0.05.ConclusionBoth deep puncture of Hua Tuo Jiaji combination external application therapy and deep puncture Hua Tuo Jiaji have the effectiveness in clinical treatment.
