| Chitin, existing in the crust of crustaceans as well as insects, can beabsorbed by human body. In recent years, this newly-bron biologic resourcelhas been widely focused in the world. The large amount of free-radical pro-duced by human body during activity attack the cell membranae, which resultsin the functional disorder of cell membranae and leads to the descent of physi-cal ability. This article consetrates on the influence of chitin on the physical a-bility of male rats in addition to the defending system of the free -radical,which aims at offering refercnces on applying chitin to the athletes' food.Seventy ICR male rats are divided at random into the quiet group and thetraining group, in which the medicine group and contrast group are set up re-spectively. Every week, their wights are evaluated. Rats of the traing groupare made to perform six-week swimming exercises, and an exhaustitve swim-ming are forced on them before execution. After that the SOD activity and theMDA quantity in their livel, kidney, heart and muscle, the liver polygoucosc,blood sugar, Hb, GOT and GPT are well estimated. It turns out to be that 1)to supply chitin can increase the HD quantity and can play a good role on Hbrecovery after exhaustive activity; 2) The SOD activity and the MDA quantityin different tissues appear differently; 3) to supply chitin can improve the anti-free-radical oxygenation in some parts of organic tissues ; 4) to supplychitin has nothing to do with the rats' weight. |
