| Having special anatomical construction, the damage of theprimary molar caries develops so fast, that the large area periapicaltissue inflammation can be formed in a very short time. So far, thereis no treatment except for extraction. The primary molar take changeof chening power during a special age of a child. If the tooth were losttoo early, the normal grewing of gnathostomatic system and eruptionof permanent tooth would be effected, and the irregulary of occlusiowould be formed. which will bring pain of physical and psyshical tothe suffered chirldren. Si the retention of tooth with large areain fected periapical tissue is a important subject.The ZOE endodontictreatment have been used in our hospital since 1996. In order to makeconclusion. we will assess theeffect after this treatment from threeaspects; the symptom. the elinical examination and X-ray. In thisarticle, 102 primary molar before school age were divided into twogroups according to their age, A group from the three to four year oldeases. and B group from the five to six year old cases. then wefollowed the ffect of the operation after six months and two years.respectively the outcome is as follow : 1 . The whole rate of retention3after two years is 99.4 percent; 2. THe effect of the operation after twoyear from A and B are both better than that after six months. There isa striking difference bettween them(P<0.05), one case from B havefell after the treatment; 4. After two years, on other case was found tobe failure. So we get conclusion as follow: 1. The recovering ability ofinfected periapial tissue of primary molar is very strong, given a efficient ZOE endodontic treatment, the damaged tissue can be heated;2. Whether the damaged tissue can be completely heated or notdeponds on the quality of treatment and the capability of defence theyoung the child is the better the effect will be;3. Observe thereaction after operation. Solation must be taken if the case go worse. |
