An Experimental and Clinical Studyof Yangshengyizhi Decocfion on Vascular DementiaSpecialty: The Clinical Study of TCM on Neuro-medical DiseasesGraduate:Tutor:AbstractBased on our clinical practice,the traditional theory of TCM and the modem research on vascular dementia (VD) ,the theory that deficiency of kidney essence and blood stasis is the main pathogenic mechanism of VD has been put forwarctThus Yangshengyizhi Decoction,which can tonify kidney essence and promote blood circulation,has been used to cure VD.The therapeutic effects and parts of the therapeutic mechanism of Yangshengyizhi Decoction have been studied clinically and experimentally,but preliniinarily.In the clinical study,47 patients with VD have been divided randomly into 2 groups,the group treated with Yangshengyizhi Decoction and the group treated with Nimoldipine and Piracetamum.The total effective rate is 66.67% in the former and 47.06% in the latter (P < 0.05) .The VD patients?clinical manifestations and the indexes of ~iemoriiieology have been greatly improved.In the experimental study,the results show this decoction can improve the model rats?indexes of hemorrheology,eliniinate free radicals and resist oxidation by promoting blood circulation.
