| Viral Myocarditis (VMC) is a widespread disease, which isharmful to human抯 survival and health. Morbidity rate of VMCshows a rising tendency with years, but there is absence of effectivemedicines to cure. To study the anti-virus and protecting effects ofthe Boschniakia rossica Fedtsch (BRF) on cultured rat myocardialcells infected with Coxsackie virus B3 (CVB3) in order to providethe theoretical basis for clinical use. Myocardial cells were obtainedfrom newborn Sparaque-Dawley (SD) rats, which were treated asVMC models after incubating for 48h followed by inoculation with1 03TC1D50 of B3 virus. All models were randomly divided into fourgroups: normal control group, positive drug controlled group(Decocton of Prepared Licorice DPL group), Boschniakiarossica Fedtsch (BRF) treated group, and virus control group. Thetoxicity of each medicines in normal and myocardial cells infectedwith CVB3 were determined by MTT methods. The activities ofLactate Dehydrogenase (LDH), Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST),SuperoxideDismutase(SOD)andthecontentsof3Maldondialdehyde (MDA) were determined by colorimetry method. The morphologic changes were observed by optical and inversemicroscope. The results indicated that Boschniakia rossica Fedtsch(BRF) could alleviate the pathological changes of myocardial cellsinfected with CVB3 and strengthen the cells beating. And then, itreduced the levels of LDH, AST released by the cells and thecontents of MDA in the cells and improved the activity of SODconsiderably (P |
