Objective To observe the clinical effects of JieHaiSan(J7HS) in the treatment of Tuberculosis, and to explore its mechanism. Methods Based on "reinforcing the spleen before the liver diseases"and " reinforcing earth for generating metal" J7HS was prepared. Under standard regimens, JHS was used to treat 60 patients of Tuberculosis (TB) as treatment group, and other 60 patients with chemotherapy only as control group. Clinical effects were compared with the two groups. The relevant experiment was also conducted. Results In treatment group, the general symptom eliminating time was 11.2±4.7 dags; in intensive phase, the adverse reaction occured in 714 cases in all;sputurn negative conversion rate was 93.33%;drug resistance rate was 5% ;X-ray obviously absorbing rate was 68.3%;cavity closing rate was 77.8%;alter treatment completed, cure rate was 96.67%.They were superior to those of control group(p<0.01,or p<0.05). Experimental study showed that 171-IS could raise SRBC-DTH;lower spleen index, and it had direct bactericidal effect. Conclusion J7HS is obvious!y effective in treating TB,the mechanism possibly lays on adjusting immune function anti-toxicity improving blood circulation and direct bactericidal effect.
